Semi-Private Experience Program

We are pleased to offer the following small group guided tour and tasting experiences in the spring, summer, and fall.

Bell Tower – Guided Tour

June – August
4 days a week, Thursday – Sunday @ 11:00 am

Join us for a 30 minute tour of our observation “Bell Tower” where you will learn about the history and naming of the winery, our solar panel installations, our partnership with the Burrowing Owl Conservation Society of BC, and have a peek inside our gravity-fed winery.

*The Guided Tower Tour experience does not include a wine tasting component

  • Duration: 30 minutes
  • Cost: $10/person plus tax (All proceeds go to the Burrowing Owl Conservation Society of BC) 
  • Maximum 6 people


Semi-Private Tour and Tasting Experiences


  • Please note: As of September 13, 2021, it is required for participants in any of the below experiences to show their Vaccination Card QR code (proof of vaccination) and valid photo ID (Driver’s License, BC Services Card, Passport) upon arrival.


The Connoisseur Tasting

June – September
5 days a week, Thursday – Monday @ 1:30 pm

This extended seating tasting is an opportunity to understand how each of our wines expresses the unique style of Burrowing Owl Estate Winery. This program includes a presentation and insight on the history of the winery, our vineyards, and of course, a guided wine tasting.

  • Tasting of the portfolio (5-7 wines)
  • Duration: 45 minutes
  • Cost: $25/person plus tax
  • Maximum 12 people


Vineyard Walk and Tasting

June – September
3 days a week, Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays @ 10:30 am

Let’s walk in the vineyard and talk about the biology of the vine, its growing cycles, the concept of terroir and viticultural practices at Burrowing Owl Estate Winery. The walk is followed by a wine tasting that will underline the main concepts seen in the field. A moderate level of fitness is required. Please dress for the outdoors: closed-toe shoes, sunhats, sunscreen, a water bottle and sunglasses.

  • Tasting of 5-6 wines
  • Duration: 75 minutes
  • Cost: $40/person plus tax
  • Maximum 8 people


Cellar Tour and Tasting

June – August
Weekends & Holidays only, Saturdays, Sundays & Statutory Holidays @ 4:00 pm

Take a tour of the winery and cellar and talk about winemaking techniques and equipment at Burrowing Owl Estate Winery. Among the unique features of the winery, you will discover the benefits of the gravity flow cellar and the underground barrel caves. The tour is followed by a wine tasting that will underline the main concepts seen previously. A moderate level of physical fitness is required. Accessible options available.

  • Tasting of 5-6 wines
  • Duration: 75 minutes
  • Cost: $40/person plus tax
  • Maximum 8 people



While our focus will be on Burrowing Owl Estate Winery’s approach to vine growing and winemaking, we are pleased to help customize your experience and quench your thirst for knowledge.

Cancellation Policy:

24 – hours notice is required to cancel confirmed private tour and tasting experiences. Cancellations received less than 24 hours prior to confirmed time are subject to the full amount of the private experience charge, plus a $20 administration fee.
